ACTIVITIES

CLUBS and GROUPS

The clubs and groups that are run in the church have varied througout the years. Currently the following groups operate:

Church Choir

The Church choir usually meets every Wednesday evening at about 7:30pm to practice, and also sometimes before the 10:30am mass. They are always looking for new members to join, especially men! If you feel you could contribute in some way, musically or vocally, please speak to the musical director at mass.

The Thursday Group

We have a Thursday Group that meets every fortnight in the church hall from 2:30pm to 4pm and enjoy doing different activities. Contact person is Cathy Gregan (01273 581564).

The Lectio Divina Group

Meets every Monday from 7.30pm at Fr Tom's house to pray with the Gospel of the following Sunday.

The Prayer Group

The Prayer Group meets in the Lady Chapel on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 7.30pm to 9pm. All are welcome.

The SVP/Care Group

The St. Vincent de Paul Society has been running in the church since about 1933. The group meets once a month, lead by Jerry O'Shea (01273 584018).

The Youth Group

The Youth Group meets in the Hall every Tuesday 6.00 - 7.30 pm. Contact person is Julie Page (01273 620229).

The 'Mothers and Toddlers Group'

At present the 'Mothers and Toddlers' group is not running.

Events before and after mass

Praying the Rosary. Every Monday at 9.10am before mass.

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Every Tuesday from 8.30am - 9.25am before mass.

Morning Prayer of the Church. Every Thursday at 9.10am before mass.

Divine Mercy Devotions. Every Thursday at 10am after mass.

Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Devotions. Every Friday at 10am after mass.

Coffee in the Hall. Every Sunday from 11.30am to 12.30pm in the hall after mass.

Repository Open for Gifts and Cards. Every Saturday and Sunday before and after masses.
